S-06

As-built documentation, TIA-606 labelling and support

In an undocumented network, every small change turns into guesswork. Documentation is the cheapest part of the project and produces the largest saving in the years that follow.

What you receive

  • As-built drawings of the pathways and outlet positions on the building plan.
  • A label on every patch-panel port and every outlet, in one consistent, readable format.
  • A port schedule: which outlet and which room each port serves.
  • The full test report and a single-line rack drawing.
  • A materials list with brands and models.

Support

The annual contract covers moves and additions, link fault resolution, updating the documentation after every change, and periodic rack inspections. The documentation stays current — which is precisely what usually stops happening after the first year.

Frequently asked questions about documentation and maintenance

What does TIA-606 actually require?
That every infrastructure component has a unique, readable identifier, and that this identifier is the same across all documentation — on the port, on the outlet, in the drawings and in the test report. The result is that anyone, years later, can trace a port without having to call the original installer.
